Equal Pay & Opportunity
Not every person in the world makes the same amount of money for the same type of work. As an example, in comparison to the white man’s $1.00, white women make $0.78, Black women make $0.68, and Hispanic women make $0.54. So for every $1.00 a white man earns, a woman only earns a fraction of that on average. This is also a problem when it comes to available opportunities. Women and minorities are not as present in leadership roles within companies as white men. This invisible restriction that prevents equality among higher paying and better established jobs is known as the “Glass Ceiling.”
