Gender Identification
Gender identification is how a person chooses to identify on the gender spectrum. People can identify as male, female, both, neither, or gender fluid - meaning that it can change. Traditionally, male and female identities follow gender norms. It is important to know that sex and gender are different. Sex has to do with biology, and is identified by the genitalia that a person has at birth as identified by the doctor. Gender is how people present themselves and has nothing to do with what sex they were assigned at birth.
